I actually did not decide to do Nano though. I loved the idea but it fell flat on its face (POV issues) so I decided to rewrite it with a 3rd person narrator who is a Watcher with a cheeky sense of humor (channeling Gaiman some here). The story is Unlikely Hero and follows Michael Collins, a hapless writer who unkowingly holds the key to the algorithm that controls the universe. A secret society of mathematicians known as Fortune's Lot wants the cipher for themselves so they can wrest control from the Creators who have been manipulating the webs of time and space for centuries. It's based on chaos theory and fractals.

Good luck on your story Harry. I look forward to seeing how it turns out!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3532015897568050849.post-31650018061281618952010-11-02T13:41:46.067+02:002010-11-02T13:41:46.067+02:00I'm usually incredibly lazy, so I need somethi...I'm usually incredibly lazy, so I need something like this to zap me into a productive mode. :)

Thanks. I think it's a normal start. I am not exactly at the average, but some people have done like 8K, which is extremely impressive.Harry Markovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140305922494369576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3532015897568050849.post-2950150828853862592010-11-02T10:57:14.425+02:002010-11-02T10:57:14.425+02:00Wow. It's my standard operating method to take too much on, so something like NaNo would be trying to squeeze into a zone that's already over-crowded. I'll be over-joyed if I can finish my Novella (only a few thousand words left) by the end of the month.

Sounds like you've got off to an AMAZING start, though. So, if I keep above it, I will be winning.Harry Markovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140305922494369576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3532015897568050849.post-68087421114065904552010-11-01T22:37:27.518+02:002010-11-01T22:37:27.518+02:00I've never nano'ed before, so I can't ...I've never nano'ed before, so I can't say much.
